The “Big Print” informs you the owner what kind of warranty you are getting and exactly what the warranty covers. It is important to review the “Small Print”. The “Small Print” section tells you what is “NOT” covered and what actions you the owner must take within a certain time frame for the “Big Print” to be honored.
Remember the roof warranty with most manufacturers serves only two purposes. The warranty is a marketing tool to help sell you their product, and it is a legal document.
The main intent of the warranty is to protect the manufacturer, not the owner!
The CRC Warranty Protection Monitoring Program is designed to track and comply with all the requirements of your roof’s warranty. This includes contacting the manufacturer within the prescribed time period for reporting any leaks or damage that occurs on your roof.
The CRC Protection Monitoring program includes contacting the manufacturer and scheduling the repairs by manufacturer approved contractors, and re-inspections as may be required by the manufacturer, contractor or the owner. The program includes bi-annual inspections to verify the roof is in good condition and is being serviced as outlined in the warranty requirements and to note any changes in the roofing system.
